I am not just learning about WTS. I've been through the WT3 protocol and am living again. I had been diagnosed with FMS [Fibromyalgia Syndrome] years before WTS. I work in the Physical Therapy field in Stillwater Oklahoma...my doctor has helped many of us...(FMS?, WTS) patients. I have NO symptoms!!! No symptoms!!! The first symptom to resolve was Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Then the "fibro-fog", the muscle spasms, the fatigue....I could go on and on....When I treat my patients now and they report similar symptoms...I ask them to check their temp. usually they already know it's low. They say "oh...my normal temp is low...normally"... I explain that it is not normal and give them your web site. It has made an extreme difference in my life. I don't have to work with pain at a level of 7-8 out of 10, I don't miss work because of pain.....and have lost 40 pounds (without dieting....I didn't need to diet) I'm metabolizing now. I'M WARM. =).... and wanting to shout from the roof tops that there is help out there. My doctor joked about writing up my case, he said he thinks not only is the WTS gone, but my FMS too. LOL Hey, life is good. I was on the WT3 protocol for several months....it was difficult to remember everything to do, as well as treat patients, raise 4 kids, and so on...but it has been worth every moment spent. I still check my temp every so often, am a little scared it will return. But if it does.... I know what to do! Thanks for life, Sharon

I have been using ThyroCare, Adaptogen, and Healthy Foundation, and I Love them. I take them morning and night, and I am trying to take them like I would the WT3 protocol. I have had a lot more energy but my temperature is still down around 95.6-96.4. The good news is that my Nurse Practitioner is willing to prescribe me the WT3 protocol! I am really excited. I gave her the Doctor's Manual which I have already read. (I also have the patient book.) I read your web site over and over before I approached her, and even used the words.. "I have done some research and this sounds a lot like me, and I'd like to try it, would you be willing to work with me on this." We have been trying and trying to figure out why I was having this disabling fatigue, and she said I'm here to help you. I am going into her office tomorrow for the initial blood pressure reading and anything else she wants. I can't wait!!! I have gained weight just by looking at food, which is horribly discouraging. I have no energy to exercise so I am looking forward to having more energy (even more than what I have on the herbs) and being able to exercise again. (I used to work out twice a day 6 days a week. Then gradually I got more and more tired and had to give up walking 1/2 hour every day because of being so tired.) Thanks so much for all your wonderful work and the excellent manuals. You make it easy. Lynne K.

I have just finished the T3 therapy. During the months I went up and down on it I feel that the ThyroCare helped me immensely, especially during the time when my Dad was dying and I was off the T3. I can't thank you enough for such a wonderful product. Jeannie R.

We feel for you and that's why we're here to try to help more patients find the help they need to get better. You can check the List of WTS Physicians again because it's constantly being updated. In addition, you can review the Patient Guide that reviews your options for you. Some patients that are having trouble finding a physician to help them with the WT3 protocol like trying some of the WTSmed Supplements to see if they will help. Additionally, the Doctor's Manual and Patient's Book are both now available for free online. Any doctor that you approach in your area can learn about the treatment easily, and we will be happy to provide that doctor with free technical support at 800-420-5801. Good luck, Denis Wilson, MD

I have just finished my second round of T3 therapy. I am very close to capturing my temp. But my father is now dying of cancer. I can feel the grief and the stress taking hold. I am of Irish, Scottish descent and feel I have had this a long time. My question: Should I go ahead with the third round of T3 or wait till my father passes? J.McCaa

Our condolences on your situation, We can't really say what you should or shouldn't do but we can give you some information to help you and your physician decide. As you probably realize, the idea for weaning off one cycle and beginning another is to wean slowly enough that the body is able to maintain on its own what has been accomplished artificially so that on the following cycle, the body will be able to do better on less T3 medicine. And yes, when patients are under stress their chances of being able to maintain between cycles, the benefits of the previous cycle, are reduced but not necessarily eliminated. The question becomes, are the patients currently under enough stress to prevent them from maintaining during a wean, any progress they might have made on a previous cycle. Perhaps the best way to estimate that is to compare the stress they are feeling now with the stress they were feeling when their problems began (if they were)(some patients are able to easily relate the onset of their symptoms with a severe physical or emotional stress). Patients who are under as much stress now as they were when their symptoms began might be better off cycling off the treatment later once the stress has settled down some (though it might be better for them to wean off sooner if they are having any physical complaints or side effects). Please remind your doctor s/he can call 800-420-5801 to make an appointment for a consultation (it's free) on your particular case. Warmly, Denis Wilson, MD

Here is some information about how Hashimoto's relates to WTS. And at the bottom of this page is some information on supporting the thyroid system in Autoimmune thyroid conditions. Kind regards, Denis Wilson, MD
