I just wanted to THANK YOU for all your hard work in discovering this syndrome and its treatment! I feel like I am able to see the sunshine now when before there were only clouds. I am about 70-85% normal when before I would say I was functioning at about 40 or 50%. It is like my body is waking up after a long, long time of just wanting to sleep all day and not being able to sleep at night, misery, pain, etc..... I have more energy, I am less achy, I sleep better and I would say the depression is gone!
Anyone who is thinking about doing the WT3 protocol and has a low temperature, it is worth it!! I have gotten my life back little by little. And to those who are unsure if they want to stick with it, DO! It took me a while to get stabilized, but when you get there it is so worth it.

Over the past few years, as I headed towards 50, my cholesterol levels have been slowly creeping upwards and, every 6 months, my GP would order blood work and threaten me with the "meds". The last time (in Feb '05) I had blood drawn, my cholesterol was 235. I begged for one more chance, and discovered the wonderful herbal product...Cholesterol Care. I ordered a few bottles as an experiment. I have always eaten very healthily and rarely eat fatty or fast food, but have had a pretty intense sweet tooth over the years. I have taken flax seed oil and eaten a bowl of organic oatmeal everyday for the past 4 years, along with various vitamins. But nothing seemed to be doing the trick until Cholesterol Care. And then, my last work-up in August '05 showed that my cholesterol dropped to 177. This is without any other changes to my lifestyle. Needless to say, I was pleased, as was my doctor! ++

I am happy to report that for the first time in 2 years my body temperature was normal last month. Thank you for your T3 advice and for great doctors like Dr. Gilbert Manso who practice good medicine so faithfully.

Question & Answers

I am curious if Syndrome X is related to or can be corrected with the Wilson's Temperature Syndrome treatment?

Thanks,
Diane

Dear Diane,

Almost all patients with hyperinsulinemia have low body temperatures, and the WT3 protocol can often be quite helpful in reducing insulin levels. We would also recommend patients with hyperinsulinemia to look carefully at DB Care

Best wishes,

I have almost all of the symptoms of hypothyroidism including low body temperatures but my heart rate is usually in the mid to high 70's. I am hypertensive and take blood pressure medicines, one of them meant to lower my heart rate. Could the WT3 protocol still be appropriate for me? Thank you.

Bob

Yes Bob,

The WT3 protocol might still be appropriate for you. Many patients have been able to decrease and sometimes eliminate their blood pressure medicines when their blood pressures normalized when their temperatures were brought to normal with the WT3 protocol.

The type of hypertensive medicine a person is taking can affect how well they acclimate to the treatment. Beta-blockers can suppress some of the mechanisms the body uses to adjust to T3 therapy (increased sympathetic tone in response to a drop in blood pressure in a patient who has over-compensated to an increment in dose of T3). Thus, patients whose blood pressure is being controlled with an ACE-inhibitor, or diuretic are more likely to acclimate very easily to T3 therapy.

Thus, depending on a patient's particular case it might be advisable to change blood pressure medicines before starting T3. Alternatively, some patients experience excellent results with HTN 180 Px for their blood pressure.

Your doctor can call 800-420-5801 for a free consultation with a physician on your particular case.++

I have been on Synthroid for 15 years (Hashimoto's disease) without any problems. However, eight months ago I had symptoms of cold intolerance so bad I thought I needed a psychiatrist. My PCP increased my Synthroid dose which only increased my symptoms. I found a doctor on your website and have now been on T3 for over a month and I feel better than before. I can greet everyone with warm hands again, and my average temperature has increased from 97 to 98. I am concerned about going off this wonderful drug. Should I continue on T3 or try a combination T3/T4?

Patients who do well on T3 after being on T4 have choices. Some patients that were not doing well on Synthroid before can do well on Synthroid (even on smaller doses) after their bodies have been recalibrated with the WT3 protocol. So patients can often go back on Synthroid (which is readily available and inexpensive), or they can try a combination T3/T4 product in the hopes that they will be less likely to relapse. Also, it is conceivable for people to remain on T3 for long periods of time (though it is more expensive than T4 and needs to be taken more often). Finally, many patients who are told that they need to be on medicine for the rest of their lives don't necessarily need to be, particularly after being recalibrated with the WT3 protocol and / or WTSmed Supplements like ThyroCare.++

Hope that helps,
Denis Wilson, MD
