My friend Modesty, out in Tucson, a 30-ish Irish-Native American, has suffered with low body temperature much of her life. She is one of the brightest people I've ever met, but has never been able to support herself or take care of her kids for more than a few months at a time due to her mental instability... when I found out about Wilson's, I sent her a Combined Info Kit, and she has already started [WT3] treatment. Within days, she said, "It is so refreshing to be able to go through a logical thought process from start to finish, and not to have a violent emotional reaction to every little thing that happens. She says she actually feels sane for the first time in her life, and her mind feels so powerful she "expects to be able to bend spoons with it in a few weeks." ;-) Chuck

I took ThyroCare for about 2-3 weeks initially and found an immediate improvement in my energy levels, especially in the mornings when I typically wake up feeling groggy, and my eyes were less puffy in the mornings.++ Thanks.

My doctor suggested I take Adaptogen since I have chronic hypo-functioning thyroid and adrenal fatigue, and sold me my first bottle. My husband saw a difference in me in 3 or 4 days, and he started taking it himself. It's helping him feel more energetic too. We're happy with the product.++ Bettie H.

I undertook the Wilson's T3 treatment 4 years ago and have since made the shift to Armour Thyroid. While my temperature was back to normal and stayed there, I still had bouts of crippling fatigue. I figured my adrenals were exhausted from all the stress I had had in recent years and asked my doctor for a trial of cortisol. The cortisol made me jittery and sleepless and I did not take them very long. Then, I ordered the non prescription Adaptogen from WTS. Within the first week of taking Adaptogen, the edge was removed from the fatigue. I found that my dream time was re-awakened after the past 7 years of seldom being able to recall or enjoy my dreams at night. This affect was totally unexpected and an amazing gift. I am sleeping better and much more richly than I have in years and my dreamtime is once again memorable and great fun. I would take Adaptogen for that response alone.++

What is the difference between the Protocol & Supplements? Crystal~

Hi Crystal~ The WT3 protocol involves the use of a prescription thyroid hormone (T3). The WTSmed Supplements are specially formulated, primarily herbal dietary supplements. Some of the supplements are available to the public online via the website, however, others are available only through physicians. Best wishes, Denis Wilson, MD

I have had a number of symptoms the past few months and would like to know if numbness and tingling in my extremities can be on the list for Wilson's Temperature Syndrome? I have had bronchitis, viral pneumonia, trouble swallowing, and now the numbness and tingling this year. Thank you, Barbara

Hi Barbara, Yes, low body temperatures can contribute to all the symptoms that you mention. Numbness and tingling can be due to low thyroid function (low temperatures). It can also be due to Vitamin B-12 deficiency, herniated disk, Carpal tunnel syndrome, pressure on nerves, injury, lack of blood flow, and many other possible causes some of which require immediate medical attention. Sometimes Numbness and tingling can be associated with fluid retention in tight places (like in the Carpal Tunnel) that can put pressure on the nerves. Edema or fluid retention is a common symptom of low body temperatures and can easily explain numbness and tingling. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome often improves with normalization of body temperature patterns. Best wishes, Denis Wilson, MD

Is there a connectioin between WTS and insulin resistance? i.e. If one gets their temperature up to normal, will their blood sugars also return to normal?
| |
| |
Patients with insulin resistance can develop hyperinsulinemia in apparent compensation. Hyperinsulinemia can often progress to Diabetes. Body temperatures are almost always low in patients with hyperinsulinemia. Insulin levels can drop dramatically with normalization of body temperature patterns, and can even return to normal and remain improved after the WT3 therapy has been discontinued. People who are looking for support for blood sugar problems may want to learn more about DB Care. Warmly, Denis Wilson, MD
