After working 3 years of night shifts as a trauma nurse in the ER, I was a wreck. I couldn't wake up without a pot of coffee and was always freezing cold, despite multiple layers of clothing. I was training for and running marathons, but steadily gained over 20 pounds over several years. Then I read about WTS and found a doctor on your website that was fabulous. Now, 2 years later, at age 32, I feel better than I ever have. I had twins 13 months ago, and had more energy in the following months of NO sleep than I had before I began thyroid therapy. I started running again shortly after they were born and am now running some of the fastest times I have run since college, despite continuing to breastfeed. I am planning to requalify for the Boston Marathon (after having four kids!). And I am SO warm...I have had to re-learn how to dress for my new found body temp! It is so great! Just wanted to share my story and let you know how grateful I am. I can now keep up with my kids (and give them a run for their money)! :)

I've been on ThyroCare for 2 months and it has helped me get my temp up. I started WT3 in june and my temp was 96.2!! Today it is 98.2!! In the past 5 years I have had weight gain, asthma, 2 miscarriages, mood swings and just tired! The medicine has helped me with all that except the weight and I figure when my temp is where it should be the rest will fall into place. I feel back when I did years ago. I went to my Doctors and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. One Doctor said all I needed was to diet and exercise!! Nothing was working. Until I met with Kim Allen who got me on the right track. And I thank her sooo much because now Im getting better and feeling better.

Yes, I got on a 1/2 dose [of ThyroCare] right away, and have tossed out the dratted anti inflamitories that I've been on for years. I've lost 9 pounds without doing anything different. I feel pretty good, hoping for even more improvements as the weeks pass. I've been very crippled up for 10 years, some days I could hardly walk. I always compared myself to the tin man after a rain, because that's how I felt. Well, the tin man is getting oiled down pretty well from the supplements from you. I must thank you for all the research you've done- or should I say my body thanks you?

I've also been diagnosed with diabetes a little over 4 years ago, but have been able to stay off the pharmaceuticals with diet and exercise. Since I started taking the supplements, the exercise has gotten much easier, and I'm up to 45 minutes a day- it was a struggle to do 10 minutes at a time a month ago, this morning I did 30 minutes just like that! My goal is 1 hour a day, to get back in some kind of shape, to keep the diabetes at bay. Not having as much trouble keeping my sugars level either. Thanks a bunch. Nancy T.

Question & Answers

What is the best type of thermometer to use to take temperatures since the mercury thermometers are impossible to get anymore?

We recommend these liquid metal alloy thermometers.

Best wishes,

Have you seen patients with WTS have facial wasting or lipodystrophy due to low body temp, or maybe accelerated aging?

Certainly there are people that have looked years younger when their temperatures have been normalized. However, it's not clear if the effect is due to changes in the skin, muscles, fat, or all of the above.

Kind regards,
Denis Wilson, MD

Can you tell me something about resting pulse rates? I'm not sure what "normal" is and what "high" pulse rates are. I just started the treatment nine days ago. Also how can I order products on line? Almost my entire family has had "thyroid" problems- grandmother, mother, brother, sisters, daughter and even a 12 year old niece. We have all been on meds for years and each of us still have low temps- We are all hoping that this is an answer to prayers. Thank you for even the possibility of hope. Beth in Utah

Normal resting pulse rates are usually around 72 beats per minute but can be considerably lower than that in healthy athletes. Resting pulse rates over 100 beats/min can be considered high. Yes, products can be ordered online here. A tendency toward low temperatures can often run in families.

Warm regards to all of you,

I have been a long time customer having ordered the FibroCare and ThyroCare products previously (plus other items). I notice on your new website that FibroCare ingredients are different from the FibroCare I previously ordered.

For example: the new Fibro has 387 mg of malic acid whereas the old had 128 mg. In fact, all the ingredients have been increased "per serving".

My question: On your new website is the "per serving" size 1 capsule -- or more? Have the ingredients been increased from the old?

Thank you,
Joanne M.

The FibroCare product has not changed. Federal guidelines suggest that ingredients be listed for the maximum serving size listed in the "Suggested Use" or recommended dose area. The Suggested Use for FibroCare is 1-3 capsules twice a day. Therefore, we changed the FibroCare web page to list the ingredients for a serving size of 3 capsules.

Thanks for your question,
Denis Wilson, MD
