I have been trying for a number of years to find a doctor [since reading] your book that a friend loaned me about 10 years ago. I had found that I had consistant low temps, and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and arthritis about 10 years ago, and type II diabetes 4 years ago. I've been managing to be able to control the diabetes with diet and exercise and a few supplements. I recently ordered and started to take the ThyroCare caps, but only 1/2 dose because of the warning about possible allergies. I've only been on it for a little over a week, and already, have had diminished pain... and I've lost 3 pounds without dieting. I am totally amazed! I thought I would try it, without any idea of what it would do for me, but I'm sure glad I took the plunge against the advice of my family doctor who did a T4, and said I was "normal", but refused to do a T3 for me. I am really looking forward to a more productive life if things continue as they have been since I started the ThyroCare. Nancy

After several years struggling with major depression, migraines, weight gain to name a few of my major complaints I finally found an MD that did some testing to see that my serotonin was 14, when 150 should be a normal number. My thyroid wasn't really very normal either, but it seemed no doctor would believe me. This doctor referred me to another local naturopath that was certified to treat WTS. Let me just say she has saved my life! I have been reading this newsletter for over a year now and finally feel like it is time for me to write. I have read so many quick success stories on here I often wondered if the treatment was going to actually work for me. Well, let me be the one to say, after about 14 months my temp is up to normal and I feel like a new person, not new, but the person I used to be. The road was a long haul, but definitely worth it. Stick by the treatment, don't get discouraged. T3 therapy really works. Allison Anderson Lake Oswego, OR

I am a 37 year old lady who has had thyroid conditions since 1997....and had a thyroidectomy in 2000. Now I am on treatment for hypothyroidism - I take 100 mcg of thyroxine daily. For the last 3 years I have been trying to get a baby, in vain. Is this condition of infertility due to hypothyroidism reversible? Also, what can I take to increase my body temperature? Maureen

Dear Maureen, As indicated in one of the success stories above, some patients are able to conceive when their temperatures are normalized when they had not been able to conceive previously. The WT3 protocol described in the Doctor's Manual can often normalize low body temperatures. Many patients experience relief with ThyroCare (available to the public) and/or Thyroid Px (available only through doctors) as well.

I feel I definitely have had an underactive thyroid for some time but was told it does not show up in blood tests. I am interested in getting T3 but don't know where to start to accomplish that. Thank you, Betzy M.

Dear Betzy, T3 is a prescription thyroid hormone. We feel it is more effective and better tolerated when compounded by skilled pharmacists into a sustained release form. Since it's a prescription you will need a prescription from a doctor. You can visit one of the doctors on the List of Treating Physicians on our web site. You can also talk to your own doctor using the CD and the Patient Guide. Medaus Pharmacy is an excellent source of the T3 medicine for doctors to use. They accept insurance from over 200 insurance companies, and they have many years of experience with the WT3 protocol, as well as state-of-the-art equipment. Hope that helps, Denis Wilson, MD

Hello Pamela, There is no great need to check it as long as your symptoms remain improved. Occasionally, people will notice the familiar symptoms starting to come back (especially if they undergo a severe physical or mental stress) but they are glad to know that their temperature is the first thing to check and they know exactly what to do if there temperature is starting to slip down. Relapses are usually easy to correct when caught early. There is certainly nothing wrong with checking your temperature every few weeks just as a precaution. Best wishes, Denis Wilson, MD
