My Dr. has put me on T3 therapy but she tells me that the doses are really time specific. I am a person who has no schedule (except for work) and after about three months or more I cannot seem to get in a routine for taking these pills every twelve hours. What are the windows available for taking the doses at a specific time? Does that make any sense to you? Thank you, MS

Dear MS, You can take the T3 at any time as long as you take it the same time every day, and as long as the dosing times are 12 hours apart. Therefore, you can take the capsules at 7am and 7pm, 8am and 8pm, 9am and 9pm, 10am and 10pm, whatever you like. A key to getting into a routine is to establish some sort of mechanism to remind you at the time you need to be reminded. I'm sure you probably remember to take your medicine but that you're remembering it at some other time (either before or after you are supposed to take it). Perhaps this timer (or one like it will remind you at the precise moment you need to be reminded). Then, all you have to do is put your timer and medicine in a place every morning that will help you to remember to keep your timer and medicine with you. Again, the secret is to develop a mechanism. For example, if you always use the sink and mirror in the morning then whenever you put your timer away at night, put a sticky note on the mirror to remind you to pick it up again in the morning. The idea is to think of some way to reduce the whole process to an automatic nobrainer. You can take a few minutes to devise your plan and then all you have to do is obey your plan or instructions. Hope that helps, Denis Wilson, MD

What do I do if I miss taking my T3 at the appointed time? Should I just skip it and take my usual dose at the next time or take a double dose or what?

Patients should always consult their physicians in making treatment management decisions. Doctors and patients may click here for information pertaining to missed doses. Also, doctors can call 800-420-5801 highlighting to make a free appointment with a doctor to discuss their patients' cases. Best regards, Denis Wilson, MD

Can having Wilson's Syndrome produce all over body pain? Therese

Yes Therese, A low body temperature can result in muscle and joint pains all over the body. Many people who have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia respond beautifully to the WT3 protocol for Wilson's Syndrome. I'm not sure if this is what you mean by "all over body pain," but if you have a low body temperature, and particularly if your pain began after a major stress, then it is quite possible that your pain might be reversible. Warmly, Denis Wilson, MD
