I have been checking my temperatures and they were running 96-97 but since I have started the WT3 protocol they are at 98.2-98.6. I am very happy!!! My breath was better almost instantly! My allergies seem to be under control and I have not had to use any Zyrtec or Sudafed since I started the T3 therapy. I have noticed that my mood is better and my face has cleared up some but I am still using MaryKay to keep it under control. I am having trouble with night sweats which may just be due to my age and stage of life but am very pleased with the outcome. I am a third shift worker, working 12 hours shifts in the emergency room. I am also going to school to obtain my masters in nursing so I am under a bit of stress. One of the doctors I work with is beginning to treat Wilson's syndrome in his private practice. Thanks so much for your help so far. Becky

I have started on the WT3 protocol based on your Doctor's Manual having gone through 3 cycles already. ...My temp is now averaging well into the 98 degree mark for the last several days which is just wonderful considering I am in the midst of recovery from a surgery. My temp at the beginning of this journey, about 4 years ago, averaged around 96. I am not exaggerating! With just a little help, this is the year I am certain I can beat this thyroid thing which has plagued me for 10 years. Sincerely, Dinah L.

I'm on my second cycle and have only recorded a 98.6 temp 3 or 4 times during all that time. However, I do feel considerably better, so it's worth it! Laura H.

I had normal blood tests for thyroid, but had over 20 symptoms indicative of low thyroid, including low body temperature. I took Synthroid for about 6 months and actually began to feel worse, even to the point of extreme anxiety/panic. I quit the Synthroid and started on compounded T3. Over several months, my temperature normalized and I felt like a new person. Many of my symptoms had disappeared. Then I abruptly needed to change physicians. My new physician did not understand the need for T3, but did agree to let me take dessicated pork thyroid. Over a period of several months, I could feel myself slip backwards, with lethargy, cloudy thinking and a gradual decline in body temperature from 37 to as low as 35.4. I am now back on compounded T3 and after two weeks, my body temperature is nearing 37. I'm feeling so much better. I am following with a naturopathic doctor trained in the WTS method, and hopefully the two of us can educate my general practitioner. Can you please comment on why pork thyroid doesn't work in some people?? Is is not rich enough in T3? Or does my body just do badly with T4? Thank you so much for being brave enough to work "outside the box" of conventional medicine. Denise

Hi Denise, Yes, I feel that pork thyroid doesn't work in some people for the same reason that Synthroid (levothyroxine) doesn't work in some people. Yes, it's because their bodies don't utilize T4 very well, and therefore, desiccated thyroid is not rich enough in T3. However, after their thyroid systems have been "rebooted" by turning down their own thyroid production, and clearing their own pathways of T4 and RT3, many such patients are able to do well on T4-containing medicine if they need to remain on thyroid medicine at all (because they have actual, persistent hypothyroidism as opposed to Wilson's Temperature Syndrome alone).

I just found out that I have Thyroiditis, and that I have had it for a long time! I do not have a joint in my body that is not hurting, sleep all the time. Short of breath. The skin on the palm of my hands and feet are cracked and hurt. My neck is swollen. I feel like [garbage]. Have you got any thoughts on how to get over all this? and still be alive I feel like I am dying! Faye Britton , MI

Dear Faye, A low body temperature can explain the complaints you describe. And since our website is about normalizing low body temperatures you might consider much of it. The WT3 protocol described in the Doctor's Manual can be very helpful in normalizing low body temperatures. Best regards, Denis Wilson, MD

Is it okay to use the thermometers that you get from the pharmacy? Mercury thermometers are no longer available.

Yes it is. We recommend liquid metal thermometers (non-mercury) over digital thermometers because digital thermometers can be easily knocked out of calibration with a slight drop, and also can give erroneous readings without warning when the battery power is low. Warmly, Denis Wilson, MD
