Hello, I have been on T3 for 5 months now [I'm presently decreasing my dosage to finish Cycle 4], having "captured" my temperature on a couple of occasions but only for 4 days at the most. I confess I'm feeling much much better, far more energetic, motivated, and not so cold. I bless the day that I came across [this]. I am 57 years old, and have had a low body temperature since the age of 2. I am also menopausal. The good news is that since taking T3 my thyroid goitres have reduced by half their original size and the smaller nodules have completely disappeared! My nails have also started to grow and 'bind' together instead of flaking. People have started to comment on how good I look, and are asking what my secret is !! Although I know I have a long way to go yet, I am blissfully happy with the results so far- and thank you so much for your dedication to this cause. Regards, Elaine, ATHENS, GREECE.

I finished my T3 treatment the last week in February. I was 66 years old this January. I had taken 3 hydrochloric acid tabs and 6 enzymes with each meal since the 80's. In the middle 90's I started having pain in both heels which hurt badly once I had sat for over 5 minutes. I have suffered from being cold for years, and I had not been able to lose weight since 1990. I felt tired most of the time, and my brain never seemed to work well. I had lots of forgetfulness. It was not uncommon to have to take a nap each day. I was very good at taking my T3 right on time and I did very well during my therapy. My Doctor was wonderful at following Dr. Wilson's directions exactly. After about three months all I mentioned above was gone. I am in fine health. I am so grateful to learn about Dr. Wilson's treatment from "Eat Fat Look Thin." Thank you so much for your help, Dr. Wilson. I would like for others to take the T3 information seriously, plus other health practitioners to know about it. Sincerely, EM

6 years ago after my 2nd baby, I had a crashing episode where my mind went and my muscles went weak and I couldn't even walk around the block without being out of breath. After many tries with doctors and therapy, they finally tested my TSH levels. I had Graves' disease. I had my thyroid removed surgically. Since that time I have struggled with weight, depression, anxiety, concentration. Is there anything you can recommend for me? Sheryl, New in Virginia

By all means Sheryl, Many patients who get there thyroid glands removed for Graves' end up with low body temperatures even though their blood tests are normal. Low body temperatures are plenty of reason enough to explain the complaints you mentioned. We recommend that you check your temperatures. If your temperatures are low then you can consider the WT3 Protocol as explained in the Doctor's Manual. Best regards, Denis Wilson, MD

Hi, I am working with a doctor who has read your book and is willing to try this "experiment" with me. I also have the support of an ND who has taken your seminar and specializes in WTS. My doctor wants me to take more T4 as my blood tests of free T4 are actually going down, and are really low. The free T3 actually did go higher on the blood test, and I am experiencing some symptom resolution. I do frequently have an increased awareness of heartbeat, and my energy levels are still really not what I would like them to be. Will taking a very small amount of T4 really counteract the T3 therapy? I am between cycles right now, and I haven't been feeling well. The ND won't let me start another cycle of T3 until my cardiac issues are resolved, and I feel that T4 would help with that.

It is expected that when people begin taking T3 medicine that their T3 levels may go up and their T4 levels may go down. In fact, sometimes people don't make much progress until their T4 levels go down very much or even very close to zero. Reducing T4 levels is thought to be part of what helps "reset" the thyroid system. When T3 levels go up, especially from medicine taken by mouth, it is also not surprising that the T3 levels may become unsteady. Unsteady T3 levels can contribute to not feeling well as well as increased awareness of heartbeat. The management of such Unsteady T3 levels can include T4 test doses. Yes, taking too much T4 really can go against the purpose of T3 therapy (resetting the thyroid system which can involve lowering the T4 level), but it can also help stabilize patients on T3 therapy. The idea is that doctors can sometimes try to give their patients a little T4 if the doctors feel it is necessary to help the patient tolerate the T3, without giving so much T4 to defeat the purpose of the T3. Hope that helps, Denis Wilson, MD

I am currently finishing my 11th cycle without my temperature coming up. I thought I'd write in to see if any other patients have had similar cases. I read in your ebook that you had a patient whose temp came up on the 11th cycle, but it wasn't clear how atypical this was or if there were any patients who needed even more cycles before getting their temperature up. In spite of the many cycles without my temp coming up, I am absolutely going to continue with the wt3 protocol, as I have noticed a gradual improvement with each cycle, mostly in the condition of my skin, as my constant problem of eczema is almost gone and overall my skin, especially on the hands and feet, is less dry than prior to starting the wt3 protocol. I am aware that you can't give medical advice, I'm just wondering how unusual it is to need so many cycles. Thanks. Jeff

Yes Jeff, It is very unusual for people for people who are carefully following the protocol explained in the Doctor's Manual to need as many as 11 cycles before finally improving. And yes, there have been some people that responded after more than 11 cycles. Best regards, Denis Wilson, MD
