Success Stories

I have gotten so much relief w/WTS and nothing else- I used Synthroid (et al) for 13 years, w/ever increasing doses, and let me tell you what an hell-a-cious ride that was! But my weight issues have not as yet even begun to regulate.
I am not an excuse maker and I do admit and take responsibility for the poor choices I've made and I am changing my habits of poor choices......I am currently reading Mastering Leptin by Byron Richards. So far it sounds like it would be a fantastic companion to WTS. Just an FYI for you all. Thank You for everything you've done to help (us-the sufferers and their families) me by getting your information out there. Recognition and validation from your peers would be meaningful, I know, but you'll have to 'settle' for it from us. I am a very "results oriented" person and when I get results I let other people know what I did to get those results. I am currently cycling on T3 and have had the best results I have ever had on ANYTHING! And the best part is the prospect of not having to take it for the "rest of my life."

Love You (all), Love You (all), Love You (all) ,Thank You (all), Thank You (all), Thank You (all).
Sincerely, Denise

The supplements are a part of a comprehensive revision of my health. They have helped to stablize me. I have taken T-3 with and without ThyroCare and Adaptogen. So much better with. Thank you for the high quality and availability of your products.

Thank you for being there in so many forms to support those of us who have suffered for so long with a syndrome that so many Drs. still refuse to acknowledge. Personally, I have known for over 40 years that "something just wasn't right" with my health. Your web site gave me so much hope! The tough part was finding a Dr. who REALLY believed in the process and not just lip service to get me into their practice. My dear friend, a new ND has recently taken me on. What a relief!!

Keep up the great work...

I have been taking ThyroCare twice a day. I feel like I have more energy, and I feel better. I have hashimoto's and have been on Synthroid and Cytomel for 20 years. I tried ThyroCare just to see if it would make a difference because I don't think the medications are adequate. I think I feel clearer when I take the ThyroCare. I'm thinking of trying the Adaptogen as well to see if that could help. Thank you for your good work in this area, it makes me feel hopeful that I can get as close to normal as possible.

Question & Answers

I had a partial thyroidectomy 30 years ago. I was never placed on any medication. I now have most of the symptoms listed [on your web site]. Can T3 therapy work for me or do I need to look at other alternatives?

Cathy

Dear Cathy the WT3 protocol has helped many patients who have had partial or total thyroidectomies.

In the case of partial thyroidectomies some patients have been able to recover and wean off T3 completely.

In the case of total thyroidectomies the patients require some form of thyroid hormone supplementation long term. Theoretically, thyroidectomy patients that do well on T3 therapy could stay on T3 therapy, but usually they are weaned off the T3 and put back on T4-containing medicine. The benefit from being on the WT3 protocol (T3), however, is that many thyroidectomy patients do better on less T4-containing medicine than they were doing on more before the WT3 protocol.

Here's an interesting aside. I have heard of some people in Japan who are able to survive without thyroid glands and without thyroid hormone medicine by eating a tremendous amount of seaweed. Not that I'd recommend it but it is very interesing. There is seaweed (Fucus herb) in ThyroCare and Thyroid Px.

Best regards,

My temperatures are averaging 97.5 and I have many of the classic WTS symptoms (anxiety, lightheadedness, short temper, low sex drive, fatigue). I decided to start taking the 3 supplements (Adaptogen, Healthy Foundation, and ThyroCare) suggested for these symptoms. How long do I take these? For life? When symptoms improve?
Thanks,
Leah W.

Dear Leah,

The supplements do not need to be taken for life but there is nothing wrong with taking them for life. You can think of them as food. People need food. Without food people starve completely. But imagine if a person started eating just marshmallows. Marshmallows are made from just sugar. There are plenty of calories in sugar so a person could ward off starvation by eating marshmallows for quite some time. But how long would it take for someone's health to start failing? What if a person ate no fruits or vegetables or proteins and didn't get vitamins and essential fatty acids in their diets?

Some people would fall ill quite quickly, while others would have more of a health/nutritional reserve and would fare better longer. But eventually, would anyone remain healthy on a diet of just marshmallows and water?

Therefore, when our diets lack a satisfactory combination of foods to keep us healthy then we become less healthy. In our modern world with modern agriculture we are tending to eat more of fewer crops. We grow and eat a lot of corn, broccoli, grean beans, and lettuce (if we're even eating our vegetables :-)), but what about all the herbs our ancestors would have eaten while they were outside that we no longer eat (because they aren't grown commercially and sold in stores)? Our modern world is separating us from a lot of foods that we might otherwise be getting.

Usually, people might take the supplements for 3-6 months and then see how they do without them. Some people like to take the supplements for a month every year thereafter as maintenance. And other people like to stay on them as a healthy dietary habit. Others might fare well off the supplements for a very long time.

Hope that helps,
Denis Wilson, MD

I am needing more than just the ThyroCare. I understand that you have WT3 protocol that goes along with the ThyroCare. How do I go about ordering it?

Thank you,
Joan S.

Dear Joan,

The WT3 protocol is a prescription thyroid treatment that is throughly explained in the Doctor's Manual.
If you need a doctor referral, you can see a list of WTS Physicians online.

If there is no doctor close to you, our Patient Guide is intended to help patients find a doctor willing to work with them.

The CD is the companion to the Guide, and is helpful for patients to give their doctors to listen to at the doctors' convenience.

For other doctors' comments regarding the WT3 protocol, please see Doctor Success.

Your doctor can order the T3 from Medaus Pharmacy in Birmingham, AL. Their number is 800-526-9183.

Hope that helps,
Denis Wilson, MD
