I have been treated for Wilson's Syndrome and Won! My doctor announced about a week ago that I was cured. I really do feel different. I am not listless or lazy anymore. I like to get up in the mornings and look forward to it. I have lost about 25-30 pounds, depending on what part of the day it is. Best of all, I have lots more energy and want to use it. Thanks for sharing about Wilson's Syndrome. Irena

I continued to take the ThyroCare after finishing my T3 therapy, but I still had the muscle pain, so I decided to try the FibroCare also, and it has made a huge difference. It's wonderful to be painfree. Thank you for such helpful products. Jeannie R.

I have had much improvement in the way that I feel since I have been taking ThyroCare, Adaptogen, and Healthy Foundation. I have more energy - I used to have a very tough time getting up in the mornings, and when I would get home from work, I was dead tired every day and would always be in bed by 7:00 pm. I had absolutely No energy to do anything. Now I can get up and feel good and when I get home from work I have energy to do things. My moods are MUCH better also. I love what your supplements have done for me. Thank you very much for everything. Sincerely, Sheryl P.

Recently I found a large complex cystic mass consisting of a nodule on my thyroid and this was confirmed by ultrasound. I had a fine needle aspiration done immediately with 3 cc fluid removed and was found to have scant follicular epithelium. I saw an endocrinologist in my area and it was recommended I wait and have another ultrasound done in 4-6 weeks. In the meantime, I have been researching and so many of the symptoms of WTS apply to me. My questions are --- Is it possible to have a nodule along with the WTS? Could the nodule cause some of the same symptoms? And can the Certified WTS Physicians also treat the thyroid nodules? (I would like to treat naturally if at all possible.)

Is it possible to have a nodule along with the WTS? Yes, is is possible to have WTS along with a nodule. Could the nodule cause some of the same symptoms? In my mind, the symptoms result from low body temperatures. Can nodules cause low body temperatures? Can nodules result in decreased thyroid hormone production? I guess that's possible. Though I would tend to think more that the same processes that can disrupt normal thyroid health such that nodules form, might also disrupt the health to the point that temperatures drop. Some thyroid nodules are known to increase thyroid hormone production but they are usually thought of as decreasing thyroid hormone production. And can the Certified WTS Physicians also treat the thyroid nodules? There are natural supplements that Certified WTS Physicians can use to promote thyroid health. Thyroid nodules sometimes go away on their own, and they can also improve when people are taking thyroid health promoting supplements (though sometimes they don't). I know if I had a thyroid nodule I would certainly take the thyroid health promoting supplements and hope for improvement. However, Certified WTS Physicians normally focus on correcting low temperatures and symptoms more than the diagnosis, evaluation, and management of nodules. As you know, a very small percentage of thyroid nodules are cancerous and it is sometimes difficult to determine which ones are and which ones aren't. Some patients and doctors don't worry very much about thyroid nodules because the chances of malignancy are so small. On the other hand, some do worry because there is always that chance and sometimes the only way to find out is to surgically remove the nodule and have it analyzed. Certified WTS Physicians aren't normally involved in that pursuit. Best wishes, Denis Wilson, MD

Is there possibly a connection with trigeminal neuralgia & WTS or Hashimoto's?

Yes, I'd say there is a possibility. Trigeminal neuralgia is a diagnosis given to people who have intense facial shooting pain in the distribution of the facial nerve. I have seen pain (like carpal tunnel syndrome), that appears to be involving nerves, disappear when the body temperature was normalized. I believe the improvement was due to decreased fluid retention of the tissues near the tight bony passages through which the nerves are passing. Hope that helps, Denis Wilson, MD

My doctor thinks I am having difficulty with my para-thyroid. I am hypothyroid with Hashimotos. She is giving me 60mgs of Armour Thyroid, iodine, and 10mcgs of T-3. TSH 6.6. Not feeling horrible but not feeling well. What does the para-thyroid do and how can it be helped? She has increased the T-3 to 15mcgs. Thanks...Lynn

Hi Lynn, There is a lot about the human body that is not known. Maybe the function of the parathyroid gland is more related to the function of the thyroid gland than we know. Nevertheless, the parathyroid gland is not thought to have a lot to do with thyroid function. The parathyroid gland is critical in maintaining calcium levels in the blood. The proper regulation of calcium is important with regard to the maintenance of bones as well as the function of muscles and nerves. Normally, the parathyroid gland becomes overactive due to a tumor which must be removed surgically. Warmly, Denis Wilson, MD
