I was pretty miserable with my pregnancy at 38 years old. When my daughter was born she had severe eczema and never slept. I also could not sleep. I ended up with a sleep disorder where I never went into deep sleep. I did not dream for years. I had ulcerative colitis, restless leg syndrome, migraines daily. I broke out in hives. Then my hair started falling out. I would scratch my arms and legs constantly. I couldn't remember what I said 5 minutes before. My temperature went as low as 95.

After a night of horrible migraines and throwing up I dropped to my knees and begged God to heal me or take me home. That is when I sought out a naturopathic doctor. I saw a doctor in Buckley, Washington that my sister saw. She finally diagnosed me with Wilson's Syndrome. At that point my immune system was trashed. She had to build up my immune system first and then we started treatment. It was amazing to start feeling better.

It took me several T3 trials to get it right. I then stayed on treatment for over a year. I was able to get off the T3 until I experienced a high stress situation and recognized some of the symptoms. My heart would skip a beat. I became very anxious and cried easily. I would have insomnia and my migraines would get worse. I ended up in the hospital in 2003 for 5 days. I was so sick. I was dehydrated and severely anemic. I had migraines and just felt awful. I was the walking dead. I was unable to work for years. Wilson's Syndrome was devastating to my life.

I have been back to work now for 5 years. It took a while to get my brain to function. I had the foggy brain syndrome really bad. I am not 100% but I would say 85 to 90% better than I was before.

I have seen many doctors over the years and even went to a Chokra healer. I was so sick and was willing to almost give up because it was so bad. I would not be here today if not for Dr. Wilson's help. I feel that he saved my life. I have always been a very strong person but I was reduced to a crying shaking mess. When I got on the T3, so many of my symptoms improved. I now reach out to those who I think might suffer with this disease. I feel that there is a lesson and a blessing from everything that happens. I want to help as many people as possible. I totally believe in Dr. Wilson's treatment.

I just took MigraCare, and my headache is gone the same day--very quickly.
I would take MigraCare over a drugstore product because it's a natural product, I know the herbs that are in it, and I would much sooner take a natural product than go to the drugstore and buy something that I don't know much about. I would feel much more comfortable using an herbal product that I've researched and read about, and I know pretty much exactly what it's going to do to me.

Question & Answers

Is there anything specific to do to lose weight?

Yes,

I recommend that you not let yourself get hungry.

:-O ?

Here's the reasoning. People tend to crave high calorie foods when they are hungry. Therefore people can avoid those cravings by not allowing themselves to get hungry. Thus, if people can prevent hunger by eating low calorie food they can avoid craving and eating high calorie food.

In addition, the metabolism tends to slow down at times of fasting. By not fasting the metabolism is not slowed. Eating adequate protein sends a message to the body that there are adequate resources available to the body and that shutting down the body to conserve energy is not necessary.

In order to prevent hunger at all times, people need a convenient source of good food. I'll tell you what I do. I go to the store and buy lentils from the dried bean section. I soak them in water for about 6 to 8 hours and I pour off the water (this removes a lot of the intestinal-gas-producing substances in the lentils). There's nothing wrong with letting them soak for up to 24 hours if you like. I then let them boil for at least 1 hour, and sometimes I let them simmer for up to 4 or 5 hours.

They are absolutely delicious as they are, even my children love them. You can pour milk and maple syrup over them and eat them as cereal. You can put a little seasoned salt on them and eat them that way also. The possibilities are endless.

I usually take the majority of the batch of cooked lentils and dehydrate them in a dehydrator. After about 8 ours they come out as easily chewed crunchy tidbits. Then I carry them with me almost everywhere in little containers the size of regular spice containers (4 inches high, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, with a screw on lid). This enables me to get a mouthful of high protein, complex carbohydrate, and no fat, any time I even begin to get a little hungry. This convenience is the secret. With this method you can make it so that you can forget entirely about food for several days at a time. It is very clean-burning fuel.

I recommend that you avoid bread, all sugar (especially "sugar water" like sodas and even fruit juices). The nice thing about lentils is that they have a nice balance between protein and complex carbohydrate automatically built in. Lentils don't contain all the amino acids so they are not considered a "complete" protein, but, you're probably going to eat more than just lentils even if you get very serious about them. A little meat here and there will provide the other amino acids you need, and if not that, then a little rice. However, you may not want to each too much rice because it is lower in protein and higher in carbohydrate, and we are looking for high protein to send your body a message.

And of course, it's great to do some exercise so you give your body something to do with that protein. And the exercise also sends a message to your body not to slow down.

This high protein diet and exercise without starvation will likely give you increased energy as well.

Hope that helps,
Denis Wilson, MD

Remember, legumes like lentils are used and have been used as a mainstay in supporting human life for eons. Though it might seem a little strange at first to some, it's natural people food, and the cultures that eat a lot of them tend not to have so much illness and obesity as we do in the United States.

Though I've tried many different flavorings and spices in preparing the lentils, I prefer them plain. They go with anything. In other words, they can also be used to supplement any meal. I can eat some lentils before dinner and then just have smaller portions of what I'd usually eat.

Lentils are not only one of the best foods for people, they are also about the least expensive.

Wondering if you can tell me when I can expect my hair to grow in during the T3 protocol process? I am female, 36 years old, thinning hair for years.
Deanna

Hair regrowth is difficult to predict because of the nature of recovery with the T3 protocol process. The purpose of the T3 protocol is to help people restore artificially a normal and steady body temperature pattern that their bodies can maintain naturally on their own.

Sometimes people are able to maintain a normal and steady body temperature while on the T3 protocol. In such a case, hair regrowth can start very quickly, within days or a couple of weeks. However, some people aren't able to get their temperatures up on the T3 protocol right away. In those cases, hair regrowth won't start until the temperature is normal and steady, which can sometimes take weeks or months.

On top of that is the fact that the biggest challenge in the T3 protocol is trying to keep the T3 levels in the body steady. When the levels become unsteady, the symptoms can return. Once unsteady (due to missing a dose or two of T3 for example) the T3 levels might steady back down in a few days or a couple of weeks. The problem is that when the T3 levels are unsteady, the patients' symptoms can return for a time. That means that if one of those symptoms is hair loss, they can begin to lose the hair they are beginning to regrow. So even though the unsteadiness might only last two or three days, that can be enough to lose a few weeks of growth. Once the unsteadiness is over the hair can begin to regrow again. So you can appreciate what a setback that can be. With other symptoms such as headaches, a person might have some headaches for a day or two and then the headaches can go away and the person is right back to the way s/he was before the unsteadiness. Metabolically speaking, the same is true for the hair loss patient...she is right back to the way she was before the unsteadiness. But from an outward appearance standpoint it is more of a setback.

It is true that some patients don't experience hair regrowth until the WT3 protocol is completely finished. Only then are their body temperatures sufficiently normal and steady for the hair to regrow. Patients can experience some unsteadiness as long as they are on T3. And though T3 therapy might be recalibrating their thyroid systems so that they can maintain normal temperatures on their own after treatment is over, their T3 levels might not be sufficiently steady to regrow hair while on the T3. I'm saying that some patients who don't regrow hair while they are on the T3 therapy do after the T3 therapy is over. The T3 therapy resets their bodies' ability to maintain normal and steady body temperatures on their own, and the normal and steady body temperatures enable them to regrow hair.

Thus, hair can regrow any time during or after the T3 protocol process.

Best regards,
Denis Wilson, MD
